Name: Geoffrey Allen Date: Tue Aug 20 15:45:36 NZST 2002 Message: Hi Jin, Long time no see. You,ve got a great website. My White Crane training is going well in Taiwan. I plan to return to NZ for about one Month from December 20 to late January. If possible can I do some training with you during this period. I can show you some of the new things I have been learning. I've also got an insteresting article on White Crane it talks about Master Huang's style of White Crane. I'm having some trouble understanding the concept of softness in relationship to Jin. I feel my body is reasonably relaxed, but the issusing of force in a relaxed manner is difficult to do. What do the classics mean that the entire body should be 100% relaxed. Also the relaxed force in White Crane is different because when I do pushing hands with you the the force coming out of your body is soft in feeling. But with my White Crane teacher I don't feel the same softness in the push, yet if I feel his arm it is soft. Can you explain to me the concept of softness in Tai Ji pushing hands. Not the floppyness, but the release of force that is soft to the touch, but has power behind it. Say hello to everyone for me. All the best. Thanks.
