Mondays  6:00 - 7:15pm

Commencing :
Monday 9th February 2009

Location:
St Barnabus Scout Hall
Edendale Reserve (off Shorwell St)

Auckland

Contact:
Maureen Buchan

Course:
Classes are once a week (Monday evenings), with the year divided into 4 terms of roughly 12 weeks. We follow the primary school calendar, although we don't break for the term holidays, we do treat these as revision periods .

The course includes Master Huang's 5 relaxing exercises and an introduction to 37 movements of the Chen Man-Ch’ing’s short form (Yang style).

The primary focus is on relaxation, coordination, joint mobility, leg strength and developing an awareness of upright posture and movement.

Fees:
$120* per three month term
Fees are required
to be paid in advance in the first week of each term

Instructor:
The beginners classes will be conducted by Maureen Buchan.

Demonstration:
The first evening will be a FREE demonstration, discussion, question/answers and enrolment session.

Clothing:
We recommend light comfortable clothing such as a tee-shirt (preferably white) and track pants (prefrerably black) with flat rubber soled court shoes. Bare feet or socks are also acceptable.

Please note that running shoes are discouraged due to their cushioned sole disguising body weight distribution in the foot.

Ongoing Classes
Following the completion of the beginners' course, access to ongoing classes is available. Participation in subsequent beginners course is encouraged.
